The Battle Is Not Yours!

When bad things start happening, most of us complain and start pointing fingers, it is human nature. We have to understand that there is not victory without conflict and no miracle without impossibility. You have to go through something to get a miracle. It is ok to be fearful in the face of danger. The Bible says not to have a spirit of fear. You are supposed to fear stuff so that your body can react when you are in danger. Now, the way you react is what makes a difference. In 2nd Chronicles, chapter 14, we read the story of Jehosaphat who was faced with an impossible feat. Instead of giving up in the face of the enemy, he trusted God and put the army’s musicians out on the front line. This confused the enemy! The armies they were up against actually started fighting each other. Praise confuses the enemy! Praising God in the midst of our trouble helps us to know the greatness of our God. We should think about the great things God has already done in our lives. The Bible says that praise should continually be in our mouths. You can’t praise and fuss at the same time. Praise starts in your mind, so you should meditate on his word day and night.

Are You Free to Worship?

Let’s get into the depths of worship! Are you free to worship today? In the book of Romans, chapter 8, the Bible says “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” One thing that the devil constantly beats us over the head with is condemnation. If we are not busy condemning ourselves, we are condemning someone else. The law of Christ supersedes the law of sin and death but you cannot supersede the law of sin and death without Christ. This means that you do have to ask God for forgiveness and repent of your sins but you do not have to ask for forgiveness for the same thing over and over again. There is no reason for you to be condemned over something that happened 10 years ago because you have already been forgiven. Once we are free from condemnation, we can worship! The Bible says, what you worship you become like. Have you ever noticed that the first time love is used in the scripture is the first time worship is used. What you love is what you worship. Anything you put above Him and love more than Him, you worship. So, I have two questions for you. Are you free to worship? And, who or what are you worshipping?
