Galatians 5:22-23 talks about the fruit of the Spirit. Everything is governed by law except for the fruit of the Spirit! There is no limitation for how much you can have. Since they benefits us so much, and they can never do harm to us no matter how much of them we have, we should be pursuing them. Fuit comes forth because of the tree that it is hanging on, meaning the fruit that comes off tells what kind of tree you are. The purpose of the fruit of the spirit is to give you power to fulfill your destiny in Christ. As it benefits us, it also benefits Christ. God uses your fruit to draw people to Himself through us. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails… And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-13). The first time the word love is used in the Bible is where Abraham is asked to sacrifice his son. Real love comes with trouble and tests but it endures beyond anything it may come against. Real love also looks beyond faults, finds needs and covers a multitude of sins. There are many different kinds of love but it is important to determine what love is and how it is different from lust. 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is the love chapter, so if you want to know something about love, go to the love chapter in the Bible.

What does it matter if you gain the whole world but lose your soul? Today, I want to talk to you about God’s love and how it can save your soul. St. John 3:13 is what the whole bible is about! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God is the way, the truth and the life. He is life and He gives us life! You can have the Word and know the Word but your heart has to be right. You need the Word and the Spirit. Jesus gave us the key to everlasting life. He said we must be born again of the water and of the spirit. It’s spiritual. God’s spirit is freely given. You don’t have to work for it. It’s free to us. He already paid the price.

The devil can get in your ear sometimes and make you complain about all of the things that you feel are going wrong in your life. The more you harp on it, the further you get from the church and the presence of God. Sometimes after you fast, you feel really strong, but often times that’s when you are at your weakest and when the devil will try to swoop in. What we need to do is stop worrying and thinking about the things the devil is constantly in our ears about and start praising Him! Nothing is more joyful then hearing your child sing, even if they are singing all the wrong notes. You are God’s child! He loves to hear you sing. The key to the presence of God is in your tongue! That’s why the devil does not want you to praise Him.
