When bad things start happening, most of us complain and start pointing fingers, it is human nature. We have to understand that there is not victory without conflict and no miracle without impossibility. You have to go through something to get a miracle. It is ok to be fearful in the face of danger. The Bible says not to have a spirit of fear. You are supposed to fear stuff so that your body can react when you are in danger. Now, the way you react is what makes a difference. In 2nd Chronicles, chapter 14, we read the story of Jehosaphat who was faced with an impossible feat. Instead of giving up in the face of the enemy, he trusted God and put the army’s musicians out on the front line. This confused the enemy! The armies they were up against actually started fighting each other. Praise confuses the enemy! Praising God in the midst of our trouble helps us to know the greatness of our God. We should think about the great things God has already done in our lives. The Bible says that praise should continually be in our mouths. You can’t praise and fuss at the same time. Praise starts in your mind, so you should meditate on his word day and night.
