Temptation to sin is all around us but we do not have to fall into temptation. God always gives us a way out. He wants us to make it! Many of us have become spiritually impotent. When we become impotent, we have no power to accomplish anything. In John 5:1-9, we hear of a man who had been sick for 38 years. When God asked him if he wanted to be well again the man pointed out all of the reasons he couldn’t be made well instead of just saying “Yes!” God has already given us everything that we need to be strong in him. He wants to change us, but in order for him to do this we have to “Get up and Get Going” and stop walking in our spiritual impotence.
The prophet Isaiah speaks of the Garment of Praise for the spirit of heaviness.
It is apparent that our age is one of heaviness. Just read the daily newspaper or listen to the news reports on the TV or radio and you will learn of wars, earthquakes and other natural disasters, murders, gang wars, white collar crime, drug abuse, and the list goes on. But Isaiah gives a solution for this heaviness. His solution is the garment of praise. It is interesting that he calls praise a garment. A garment is an article of clothing. The word
garment comes from the base word garnish, meaning to equip, adorn, decorate, embellish, furnish or cover. Obviously without a garment one is nude. The Bible says that Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden

These coverings were inadequate and consequently, God prepared skins to cover their bareness.
