“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails… And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-13). The first time the word love is used in the Bible is where Abraham is asked to sacrifice his son. Real love comes with trouble and tests but it endures beyond anything it may come against. Real love also looks beyond faults, finds needs and covers a multitude of sins. There are many different kinds of love but it is important to determine what love is and how it is different from lust. 1 Corinthians chapter 13 is the love chapter, so if you want to know something about love, go to the love chapter in the Bible.
